Who is behind
kratz.ch?
I'm Werner Kratz — Lead IoT Consultant based in Solothurn, Switzerland. My work isn't an obligation; it's a genuine passion: connected systems, sensor data, smart solutions — they fascinate me every single day.
That same curiosity drives my photography. Whether analogue film in a Lomo camera, long-exposure digital work, or a fleeting moment captured on a smartphone — the image as expression is my second language.
And then there is something very personal: I live with angiodysplasia myself. That experience — navigating a rare vascular condition, understanding diagnoses, finding one's way through the health system — is what led me to step up as managing director of the Swiss Angiodysplasia Association.

I live with angiodysplasia myself. That experience — navigating a rare vascular condition, making sense of diagnoses, finding a path through the healthcare system — is what motivated me to get actively involved.
As voluntary managing director of the Swiss Angiodysplasia Association, I work to ensure that those affected are not alone: through information, community, and a strong voice in medicine and society.
